United Auto Rental offers transparent car rental near the Orange County Airport for leisure and business travelers. Below are concise answers to common questions to help you plan your trip with confidence.

What IDs do you need if I want to rent a car? How do I reserve a rental car?

A valid driver’s license plus a major credit or debit card are required. We accept international driver’s licenses. Cash deposits may be allowed to reserve certain vehicles with additional documentation. To change or cancel a reservation or to request a receipt, call or email your rental location.

How do I pay for the rental car?

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards — debit card car rentals are permitted. Security deposits range from $250–$500 depending on the vehicle type. Cash deposit options are available with restrictions; see our policies page for details.

What is your minimum age for drivers? Can I havadditional drivers?

The minimum age for drivers is 21 for most vehicles; 25 for 15-passenger vans and specialty luxury models. You may add up to two additional drivers (three total) at no extra charge.

What are your mileage and insurance terms?

Travelers deplaned at the local airport with a current boarding pass generally receive unlimited mileage on most vehicles; specialty luxury, full-size SUVs and vans have specific daily/weekly free-mile limits (examples: 150–250 miles/day). Additional miles are billed ($0.28/mile; $0.38/mile for certain premium vehicles). Collision Damage Waiver is $10.99–$15.99/day; renters’ liability insurance (RLI) is $12.99/day.

What areas do you serve? Do you offer pickups?

We offer car rental services in Orange County, CA, and also serve John Wayne (SNA) and Ontario (ONT) airports. We do not deliver vehicles but can pick up guests within our ~5-mile shuttle area. One-way returns between locations are allowed. GPS units and child seats are available.

What should I do if I’m in an accident?

If involved in an accident, call the rental location immediately and document all parties, insurance info, and photos.
